Elements of Competency Performance Criteria              
Element: Ensure compliance with security procedures
  • Identify all security and emergency procedures relevant to own work role
       
Element: Oversee implementation of relevant security procedures according to the level of risk
       
Element: Provide instruction to work group on potential security risks
       
Element: Report potential breaches of security and/or equipment faults to appropriate authority
       
Element: Maintain safety and security of staff and/or offenders
  • Maintain dynamic security actions by ensuring regular and consistent interaction with offenders or staff and sharing of information and observations as appropriate
       
Element: Ensure security functions and activities relating to the care and wellbeing of offenders are implemented

Assessment Tasks
